I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists.  I provide my services to individuals and a number of insurers and medico-legal companies and have a special interest in treating excessive worry/anxiety and trauma.

Alongside CBT I am undertaking further training in Psychosexual and Sex Addiction Therapy. I am a member and adhere to the professional ethics of, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity (ATSAC)

I have over 10 years experience working with a wide range of people from the ages of 16 to 90+ within the mental health field including addiction.

During this time I have supported people in overcoming; trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, sleep difficulties and depression.  I have helped people increase their confidence and self-esteem and face situations they once avoided.

I have experience of helping people take a step back from the overwhelming nature of their difficulties and work alongside them to apply techniques that help them find a way through, restore their functioning  and ultimately help them feel better.

My Approach

It is not uncommon for people to find the prospect of therapy daunting.  The first part of my approach focuses on putting you at ease, managing your expectations for therapy and emphasising my non-judgmental, approachable nature.

Through my therapy I emphasise the benefit of collaboration i.e. it is about us working together - getting a shared understanding of your difficulties and deciding how best to address them in a way that is manageable to you.
